Avery Wilson’s “16 Years In the Making” [Mixtape Release Party Recap] (CT)

May 12th, 2012 | By

A month ago Anonymously Gifted got a chance to see a wonder in the making. 16 year old Avery Wilson debuted (I believe) his first project “16 Years In The Making” at his mixtape release party, showcasing some of CT’s elite talent all under one roof, at Kudetta’s on 27 Temple St., New Haven,CT hosted by Mike Nyce.

Now I mentioned before that Avery Wilson is a problem. At 16, he already has grown women fawning over him once they hear the talent that belts out of his mouth (Trust me I witnessed it). We’ve seen some of his performances footage. We’ve heard his golden voice throughout several features on the site. Its about time he has gotten his own spotlight. Check out a clip of the performance below.

As we watched 16 Years In The Making come alive across the stage, Wilson also premired a video off of his tape, “Let It Out“; a special tribute video to those dealing with abuse and child molestation within a household. You can view that below

Everything on “16 Years In The Making” is written by Avery himself. It’s a small dosage of the greater things we can expect from him in the near future. The set features 12 cuts;half covers half originals, including track to the heartbreaking video, “Let It Out“.

Joining Avery Wilson on the guest producer tip throughout “16 Years I The Making” are G-Bliz and Chris Jones. Engineered by the notorious Weezer Rascal and Elm City.

Shout out to all the explosive performers who opened up for Avery Wilson; Mr. Got It Like, Blayze, G. Brunot, Kaeli Rose, Manny James, Kendall and S.O.D.
