With 5 albums under his belt, and another project on the way, the artist formally known as Bobby Valentino shows no signs of giving up the RnB spotlight. Last month we got a chance to interview and see Bobby V perform live at The Drom in New York, courtesy of Soul Factory.

As he prepares for his EP, Peach Moon to release, we got a bit of inside detail on what to expect from the project.

Hot 97 Who Got Next: Travi$ Scott Live @ SOBs (NY)

July 22nd, 2013 | By

Another show, another feature. And I must say this event had to be the craziest one that I’ve attended. Hot 97 presented us with a one of a kind show that gave a platform for up and coming artists to show their stuff. This time they invited newly signed Grand Hustle member, Travi$ Scott, out to the SOBs stage. When I say there was nothing but high energy in the place, I’m talking mosh pits, crowd surfing, stage diving, and eerily puffs of fog rising from the floor. This show was crazy.

Opening up for Travi$ were three up and coming local talent that has also been grinding on these blogs (ours included), by the name of Doley Bernays, Apollo The Great, and legendary artist Doug E. Fresh’s sons, Trips N Slim. Check out the video we compiled for the night.

Travi$ Scott’s latest mixtape “Owl Pharaoh” is available for download now.

**Special thanks to @davebfi for doubling as a photographer and videographer for the night**

Luv It Or Hate It?: August Alsina Live @ Sono Lounge Recap [Event] (CT)

June 24th, 2013 | By

Another big highlight of this month was seeing the rising RnB Bad Boy, August Alsina, make a club appearance to Sono Lounge in Norwalk, Connecticut. I want to give a BIG shout out to Digga of Self M.A.D.E. Ent, for taking the chance of bringing new talent out here. You, my dear,  have even more cool points with me. Now with that being said, as much as I would like to say the night was a complete hit, I would be lying to myself and you folks who wants the skinny of what goes on at these events. There were a few hiccups towards August performance, but after reading this recap the real question is going to be: who’s to blame for a sub par performance?

CharlieRED – Live From SOBs

March 22nd, 2013 | By

PISSED wasn’t the word when I found out that CharlieRED was opening up for Marsha Ambrosius along with Avery Wilson a couple of weeks ago at SOBs. I silently cried thug tears the next day as I heard all the good reviews from the show. I was immediately pulled from my slum driven day when I heard that CharlieRED was going to release the audio of the show if they reached a certain number of followers on Twitter.

4031 followers later, and CharlieRED makes due on their promise. Dim the living room lights and get your Zippo lighters out because you will have a makeshift concert in your house, while listening to the audio of this performance. They are CharlieRED
