What’s up everyone! We are back at it again with another exclusive for you. Last week, I got a chance to check out Hot 97′s ‘Who’s Next’ live showcase featuring BJ The Chicago Kid, Adrian Marcel and Mila J at Sobs. One person I was dying to see at this event was BJ The Chicago Kid, and boy did he deliver.

BJ has been singing on the hooks for some of your favorite songs for years, and now its his time that he stepped out on his own. His claim to fame is recently having his vocals featured on TDE’s own ScHoolboy Q’s record, “Studio“, and a radio feature on the biggest video game in 2013, ‘Grand Theft Auto’ with “Smoking And Riding“, but his legacy didn’t start there. Recently signing to Motown Records, it almost became a no brainer to join the legendary label. With his soulful sound and young attitude BJ has the makings to carry the Motown legacy to the next level.

We caught up with BJ to talk about his transition from background to spotlight, working with some of his favorite artists, studio session inspirations and a upcoming EP/Album that is on the way. Check out the Nate Dogg of RnB/Soul music, BJ The Chicago Kid.
