February 5th, 2014 | By Janei

Although I don’t agree with with their stage names, I can’t deny this free tape that they released. Tatyana Ali – Wait For It (NY)

February 3rd, 2014 | By Janei

I am really feeling Tatyana Ali’s single, “Wait For It“. It’s good to see her back in the music scene after years of hiatus. Plus with some of the messed up background TV productions (Giving up her show “Who’s That girl” on TVOne for BET’s “Next Generation Wayans”, just for that to get cancelled, and her not let back in her original show), it’s good to see her refreshed and interested in something else for s while.

Check out her single, “Wait For It“, and make sure you pick up her EP “Hello” available on iTunes now.

Devine Carama – Martin Didn’t Die For This (KY)

January 20th, 2014 | By Janei

In the spirit of Martin Luther King Day, Devine Carama spits about what he didn’t have in mind of what we call “freedom” today. As part of his Music Monday series, this track will be featured on his upcoming project, “Dream Walkers” dropping next month. “Martin Didn’t Die For This” is produced and directed by Raddiculous Productions.

“Whether its the sacrifice that Martin Luther King and many others made for the advancement and progress of this generation or the history Barack Obama made in becoming the first black president, it seems many of us are attempting to denigrate that progress instead of continuing to advance it. Seeing flyer’s with MLK’s image on it throwing up gang signs with gold chains around his neck this past weekend was it for me.. That frustration led to this track and visual.”

June 17th, 2013 | By Janei

The best type of music comes from browsing through national music contests. HNHH is currently running “The Gifted” contest, (a chance to open up for Wale during one of his tours) and I came across a artist who sparked my interest with the most votes from Jersey.

Off of J.Gillie’s mixtape “Gillmatic“, available now. Directed by CBallFilms
