After much debate, Wordspit and his band, The Illest decided to release their America’s Got Talent audition single, New York New York by Frank Sinatra featuring Mr. Reed.
We wanted to capture the euphoric moment of destroying the first audition and making it into the Vegas round of America’s Got Talent. We decided to go with our rendition of New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. Not only did this represent where we came from (New York City) but it also represented our desire to perform in the live rounds which was held in our home Town.

It was a proud moment when all of Team Illest found out that Wordspit and his Band, The Illest made the audition round to America’s Got Talent. We’ve watched the journey, the excitement, and the tears after coming so far. But unfortunately their journey ended; not by America’s votes, but from the judges who were disappointed that they didn’t do an original piece. With their last performance, they performed original music “LCA (Lights Camera Action” which can be found on Wordspit’s latest release, “The Coolest B-Boi Stance“.
Yooooooooo we are truly the illest! First off I would like to say congrats to Wordspit for accomplishing so much in his career and never giving up. From McDonald’s commercials, to Rocawear campaigns, to now audition on live television to America’s Got Talent, Wordspit shows the world that he is here to stay
This is somebody I have been rocking with for about 3 years now. It’s great and exciting to see someone from the streets of East New York to set a goal for himself and follow his dreams, whatever the costs was. He never stopped reaching. Even when he had doubts he never stopped reaching. This is the real definition of DEDICATION and GRIND MODE. I’m proud of you sweetie
If you missed Wordspit’s performance at Santos Party House in NY on the 19th, you missed a premiered track. Wordspit performed with 2010 freshman Nipsey Hussle along with L.A., The Boy Illinois and more. “Hiatus Over” is off of his new upcoming mixtape.
Since the homie Wordspit does not email me tracks any more I have to resort to stalking his timeline for dropped exclusives. I happened to be at the right place at the right time, because The Illest dropped some heat. Word Spitta and Kalil Kash joins Baxter P. Wordsworth over a nice beat of Suicide Swag
Wordspit has been pretty busy these days. Interviews with ThisIs50.com, HIV/Aids awareness concerts, now he’s taking over the stage with Kendrick Lamar to perform the illest freestyle over Rigamortis at Lamar’s S.O.B. headlining concert
“No I’m not a freshman, I’m outta Mutant School, I made it into the X-Men”
The person that brought new type of music towards the East New York area and to my ears, Wordspit The Illest inks a deal with Rocawear Clothing.
